What does Compare PDF check?
It extracts selectable text and compares corresponding pages. Inserted and removed words are highlighted in separate columns.
Can it compare scanned pages?
No. Scans without a text layer have no words to compare. Run OCR with a trusted tool first.
What if the documents have different page counts?
Pages are paired by page number. Pages present on only one side are shown as additions or removals.
Does a comparison edit my PDFs?
No. The tool displays a comparison and does not change either source file.
Are the documents uploaded?
No. Text extraction and comparison run locally in browser workers.
