Frequently asked questions
Does this extract page screenshots?
No. It extracts image objects embedded in the PDF, not a rasterized copy of each page.
Can I filter small images?
Yes. Set minimum pixel width and height to hide smaller embedded images before selecting output.
Which output formats are available?
Choose PNG for lossless output or JPG for smaller files. Images with transparency are composited on white when saved as JPG.
Why might an image not be listed?
PDFs can use masks, vector drawings, or unsupported image encodings. The tool lists embedded image objects that PDF.js can decode.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. PDF.js extracts images in your browser and a local worker encodes and packages them.
What limits apply?
PDF files can be up to 25 MB. Very large or numerous images are capped to protect browser memory.
