Does a black box alone remove the underlying text?
No. This tool rasterizes each affected page with the redaction boxes baked into its pixels, so the covered source text is not retained on those pages.
Will redacted pages remain searchable?
No. Affected pages become images. Unaffected pages keep their original text and vector content.
Can I draw more than one redaction on a page?
Yes. Draw multiple boxes on each page that needs redaction, then inspect every marked area before exporting.
Is redaction reversible in the output?
The rasterized page no longer contains its original text layer, but carefully inspect the downloaded file and its metadata before sharing.
Are files sent to a server?
No. Page rendering and PDF creation happen in browser workers on your device.
